don’t use liquid laundry soap,, it’s wax based, and that collects in the tub/agitator

Take the agitator out. Lots of buildup under the base. One nut at top holds it.

Problem is mold in the drum ABOVE the waterline. Vinegar, bleach, peroxide soaks dont work because the fillup doesn’t reach that high.

just put a small was load thru with bleach, dawn, white vinegar ! leave lid open for smell & mildew !
