I use Smitten Kitchen's recipe with the gochujang honey butter situation on a chicken and call it good. there's only four of us and every turkey is too much food!

we do an elk roast as the main dish at my house. someone looks a turkey so we can have leftovers. a Turkey pot pie is probably my favorite.

Our Turkey is smoked and I put a lot of different seasoning on it to make it yummy. We always have an empty platter vs. BIL’s “normal” turkey. 🤣

The best thanksgivings I’ve had have been at Japanese restaurants. Partially cause my mom can’t cook. But partially because I’m the only meat eater in the family and I hate turkey.

My brother-in-law is a trained chef and makes the absolute best turkey on the entire planet. It’s blind and it’s juicy and it’s beautiful. I think about it all the time.

I use the day to support local, minority owned small businesses. Smoked turkey from the bbq guy, carrot casserole from the Jewish deli, cheesecake from the home bakery, rolls from the 🌈 bakery.
