Personally, I would've paid to get it fixed. It'll be cheaper than buying a new car. Besides, why would I get another more expensive car because the compressor job is "worth more than the car"?

This happened to my jeep, the belt popped because my pulley wasn’t moving then my belt got wrapped around it and popped.

That’s bs Ive installed an ac compressor from auto parts store on that same model crv not that hard just need a recharge kit and vacuum and didn’t cost more than the vehicle 🤣
