I was always told never to bring anything that needs attention like flowers not in a vase food that needs to be served/heated up and the best gift is something for them to have next day like breakfast

Wine is actually a fine gift. Dont expect your host to serve it or open it with dinner. It’s a gift.

i don't drink so when people bring alcohol, it just sits in my cabinets til the next time have a party. everyone brings alcohol and I end up with so much of it.

I bring homemade hummus and the hostess giggles and puts it away.. once I made a tiramisu and the hostess tried to put that away too . 🤭🤭🤭

And do not bring your own dish if it’s advised not to 😅 it drives me bonkers when there’s two of the same dish when I asked plz do not bring anything and then that person gets upset there’s 2…😅😅

Honestly my favorite is a nice boquet tht I made with a mini vase with water in it already! Dollar tree has good cheap case options and I just pour a water bottle in it when I get to my hosts house

yeah I think its cultures too. so in south asian culture whatever gift we give or get we don't naturally serve that to the very people who gifted it to us

Do people not go there friends???? If my friend drink wine I will bring wine, if she is doing a cheese board I will ask prior to the day, not everyone likes chocolate or caramel, you are supposed them
