This ritual commemorates the story of Hajat, the wife of Prophet Ibrahim , who was left with her infant son Ismail in the desert by Allah’s command. In search of water, Hajar ran seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwa, desperately seeking help. Her faith and perseverance were rewarded when Allah sent the Angel Jibreel, who brought forth the Zamzam well.
