I let my kids eat in class bc they may have not had time to eat. But I tell them there’s a “teacher tax” if I like the hot chips they are eating 😂 Dont worry, I only take one 😂

Yes!! I’ve seen teachers taking away children’s snack or just not giving it to them bc of “bad behavior!” Food is NOT a reward and I’ll preach that every single time.

I've thrown food away once. they asked if they could put their food in my fridge for lunch, and it stayed in there till Thursday. I told him to get it every day and he didn't. I threw it away Thursday

for my class it's: you put the food away when I say to, if you don't you give it to me until the end of the hour then I give it back and I tell you no more for per the class rules

Last year my daughter’s teacher forgot to hand out my daughter’s birthday cupcakes and ended up throwing them away at the end of the day. I was furious and hurt because my daughter was hurt.

I don’t yell often but when the lady at child care said she denied my son his snack for not picking up fast enough, it was early dismisssl from school so he ate nothing 11am-5. I was livid

facts...my son had his school lunch thrown out because I had missed adding funds to his card. rather than calling me they took his food and threw it away. hate people who take food from kids

My issue is that my kids take full advantage of my kindness. I didn’t care if they had food, but they just needed to clean up after themselves. Had to stop since they can’t show that basic respect.

I tell my kids put it away or I throw it away. I never throw it away I'd put it in my drawer until break. The first time I did this I threw my paper weight in the trash and hid the food. >

I definitely have different perspectives then my coworker's. My kids are always allowed to eat in my room as long as they are working and doing what they are being asked. you never know

Kinder teacher where food =war. So yep Cheetos are a perfectly fine breakfast. They go up when time is over. Usually I put the book bag out of reach till the end of day. No trash! Not a price

I just moved to HS. I now let me kids eat in class. When I was in MS I didn’t (they were super messy 6th graders), very seldom did I ever throw food away I will admit.

My son’s teacher putting all leftovers or snacks in a zip lock bag and sending them home. They don’t throw anything away if it can be ate later.

Yessss. My principal told that to one of my students that goes 0-100. So in my head I was like “here we go.” That student did not calm down at all the rest of the day.
