@reptiliatus: My Purple Vampire crabs (Geosesarma dennerli) had babies! This is the second species of Geosesarma I have reproduced here in my reptile room! It’s definitely time to set up the fully decked-out paludariums for these critters ASAP! Vampire crabs (Geosesarma sp.) are tiny little crustaceans that live terrestrial lives close to bodies of fresh water where they reproduce. This species is endemic to Indonesia. Vampire crabs have quickly become popular pets. They are a freshwater species and can easily be kept in a paludarium setup consisting of approximately 75% land and 25% water. As seen here, they will easily thrive and reproduce in these conditions. Vampire crabs are both fascinating and rewarding to keep.
