Agree with ppl being biased. However, bioware was once the inspiration for CRPGs and you can see so much of what DA once was in bg3. Even with its flaws, bg3 is better in writting/nuance/depth.

larian gave up the IP because they wanted to make something new afterwards and didn't want to be stuck making games for Hasbro and wizards of the coast.

As someone who loved DA first - BG3 is the style game I hoped DAV would be. It takes the edge off my disappointment in DAV to play BG3, I wanted a solo CRPG and they gave me Destiny with extra plot 😞

the reason people compare is because bg3 had less money less time and less staff well veilgaurd had a AAA studio more money and time so to see veilgaurd be this bad in comparison is sad and funny
