@foodologyca: Piping Hot Restaurant is all the rage right now in Richmond and customers are loving their individual hot pots and fry bar. Their free ice cream taiyaki caught my eye and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The fry bar was my absolute favourite part as they did a good job frying it and adding the fried basil. Plus, they ask if you want to have it spicy or add cumin to it. The hot pot selection is pretty big but I would have loved to see a little bit more vegetable or noodle options. The choices of broths were great but I felt the malatang and miso broth didn’t have as much depth of flavour compared to their competitors. The free taiyaki ice cream at the end of the meal actually ended up to be taiyaki filled with red bean as the ice cream machine was broke during our visit.
