It will subsidize the income we will be saving on gas when ALL goods get cheaper including gas. As of right now facts show the American yearly is $6,850 extra. So it will still be cheaper

Ok now show the no income tax and how that will effect the income of a household bc I wouldn’t mind paying 1900-7600 more if I’m getting my full check that’s 30 thousand more for me a year

How would this work for auto manufacturers: example, Nissan makes cars in the US and Japan. Will the cars made in the US be subject since it’s a Japanese company?

I eat A TON of fresh produce, including tons of fruit from other countries. I’m a minimalist thrifter who doesn’t buy a lot of “stuff”, but my food is extremely important to me. This scares me so much

There were some pretty stiff tariffs in 16’-20’ and I don’t remember any sky rocketing prices. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention though. Also as a small business owner, I can speak to the damage done

I mean, that’s a bit, but if I don’t have to pay taxes because of it it’ll save me like 15-20k a year. Plus work coming back here is good for our economy

we don't have the infrastructure to make everything so companies here are about to get a surge of demand but the supply will stay the same..so, American goods are gonna skyrocket too 😮‍💨

Here’s what ya do; buy used, barter, don't buy anything unless u absolutely need it. Become frugal and learn how to restore or refurbish old furniture /appliances. You tube is free! You're gonna be ok

If I buy something directly from China (for example bc we know he’ll go after China first) will I pay a tariff? Kind of like when you receive a package in Europe?

💸 I never understood politics that much cuz it seems unnecessarily complicated, but all I know is I struggle to pay for things as a college student and this doesn’t seem like it’ll get any easier

My laptop cost me around $700 5 yrs ago… a 2000% tariff would make my laptop cost $14,700 😳😳😳 even 20% would make it worth $840 which would already sway my thoughts on if I actually need it🫣

As someone who wrote a thesis paper on EU trade policy reform… since the dawn of time countries have traded goods for mutual benefit bc NO ONE benefits by trying to make everything (except prob China)

Does this also take into account the increased sales tax we all will be paying as well? Because if not, add another 8% on the cost of all goods. Unfortunately we’re in FAFO. So $7600 becomes $8208.

Just a thought. Why would I pay more? Think about it for a moment if the price is to high I DON’T have to buy it until it comes down. The company either lowers the price or goes out of business. 🤯

if the COMPANY isn't actually paying the tariff and only passes it on to us, they aren't going to CARE where the goods come from. and they don't listen to us, we know that!

I think he is mainly going to put the big% on expensive items like lawn mowers. Ain't noone paying 200٪ on something that cost 5k like a lawn tractor. They will buy Cub Cadet made in the US. Toyota..
