The prices are higher on the island, but they aren't much different than here in Washington. Homes to buy are hard to find on the island for sure. I wish I could help out. What needs to be done? ❤️

I understand how you feel I am also part a native hawaiian and moved away from my homeland because of being priced out of paradise. it's a sad reality for many local people.

It’s ridiculous. The mainland is looking more appealing as the years go by. I know people are willing to pay the price to stay but the prices here are becoming too much. We can’t get ahead.

Talked about this the other that people cannot afford their homes because everything is just too expensive. Insurance is high and for some impossible to have, so you can’t do disaster recovery…horr!

can you apply for assistance with the local housing authority and their congressman? check the United Way agencies for volunteers. call local contractors and large construction business for donations.
