They cut out like that from no fuel as a safety measure for the engine, running totally out of fuel can do damage to injectors and other stuff, but good old Holden fuel gage lol tap tap on the dash

This will happen again mate . I highly doubt it was fuel related my guess is crank angle sensor. Got hot and once cooled it will start again. I’d replace it so you aren’t left with a tow again.

It won’t have been fuel or starter related, if out of fuel it would still crank and faulty starter wouldn’t cause the car to stall while driving. Will be ecu, sensor or wiring related most likely

Both my VT and VE, and my dad’s VY had issues with the fuel gauge being wildly inaccurate 😅😅 no surprises

Had an intermediate problem with my VT like that ended up replacing the ignition barrel and key mobiliser seems to be fine now

crank sensor?? if it does it again chuck some cold water down the front of the engine where the sensor is to cool it off
