Some people hate Jon soo much, they stopped thinking logically. Jon is trying to do whats best for him. He knows Tom is a more dangerous fight, even he admitted it and as of yet beating him does not mean as much as beating Alex as Alex has done more then Tom Currently has and has more hype around him, so it makes more sense to take the easier route. Years later, when I think Tom by then would have been champ for years and maybe took a shot at double champ(and quite possibly won it), Jon's win over him would be worth more and more . So he will fight Tom, if he gets enough money to make it worth the risk, if not he vacates the title and fights Alex and then retires. Dana 100% will not refuse to let Jon fight Alex, if he is willing to vacate tho however much he wants the Jon vs Tom fight.
