I would rather give birth again than to sit there getting an NG tube placed and having it there for a week. The nurse was so straight forward about how incredibly painful it is and explained in detail

x-ray to confirm placement!! if you’re at the bedside and x-ray is not available, aspirate a small amount of fluid and test the pH! x-ray is the best way though
