@farmer_nick: SAVE this for plant-moving tips! Keep temps consistent 🌡 Most tropical plants can’t survive in temps below 50, but you also don’t want to expose them too super hot conditions either. The season you’re moving in and the area you’re moving too will dictate which of your plants can be put in an unconditioned trailer, or which should be riding shotgun. If you do have to throw the larger plants in the back of a Uhaul with colder temps, try a cordless space heater Brown paper protects leaves 🍃 There’s a reason many plants you buy online arrive packaged in brown paper, and it definitely helps protect the leaves from cold wind bursts and physical damage. I didn’t need to do that in this move to Michigan since I wasn’t moving that many larger plants, but it does help a lot. Pack plants close together 🪴🪴 The more you can limit a plant’s movement during the drive the better. Leaning on each other can reduce the changes of them falling down, and sometimes I’ll slide cardboard in between the pots so they don’t bang together and crack. It’s all about reducing the airspace between the plants + pots and shredded cardboard works well as a filler. This move was pretty stress free from a plant perspective and I can’t wait to watch these babies grow in the new house 🏡 . . . . #movingplants #planttips #planthelp #plantdad
Gave my FLF to my mom, it had one leaf. It’s 7 ft tall.

Bruh my husband got out of the army and we were stationed in VA… all my plants were so beautiful and thriving. We moved to Texas and they all died. I was a new plant mom back then…
