Tegoprubart is still an immunosuppressant drug just a less nasty one. Less nasty inmunosuppressant drugs are being developed to make transplants last longer.

Currently on immunosuppressants (not for the rest of my life thankfully) and it’s not that bad. Tbh my T1D friend gets sick more than I do so it would probably be worth it

My grandmother had a few islet cell transplants in Chicago a little over a decade ago. It significantly reduced her insulin ups and downs. 🥰
