I’m so glad you mentioned Brazilians in the Latino community, we’re always pushed to the back and even told we are not Latinos just because we speak Portuguese, even though we are the largest country in Latin America

Yes! I’m a light Latina with green eyes and I speak Spanish and both my parents are Mexican but I have to fight to prove my ethnicity all the time since I don’t look like the stereotypical Latina

I remember I had a girl tell me that I’m a “whitesican” a Latina with European features but the Latina aesthetic. Which shocked me bc I don’t think I have European features at all.

my husband is mexican American with tan/brown skin, he didn't know that Hispanic/Latino wasn't a race. He doesn't like saying he's "white" on forms because he cannot identify with that.
