As a teacher myself, I think it’s important to remember that you are not entitled to a gift and when a student/parent goes out of their way and spends their money on you, you should be appreciative.

Teachers should be greatful that they receive anything & should not tell u what they want. i worked in education 31 yrs in the office. I was GREATFUL for all my gifts. It’s the thought that counts .

I don't care what I get. I appreciate everything, even if it's just a sweet note of appreciation. also ppl are struggling financially so anything they give is special -don't say no this/that. 😒

We as parents shouldn’t even ask what you want to a teacher 🤦🏻♀️why because I as a parents ask my son what he wants to give his teacher so remember that some students say what they want to give

We like to get teachers something to either make their lives easier or to treat themselves (book store gift card w/ reading socks, Skip the Dishes card, or a movie theatre night out for 2, etc.)
