Carrot puff pastry cones 🥕 Filled with vanilla cream with Cadbury mini chocolate egg bits folded in. Recipe: Remove puff pastry from box and cut lengthwise along the folds (into thirds). Cut lengthwise in half and then half again. You will need two strips per carrot. Wrap the first strip around pastry horn, slightly overlapping with each turn. Use egg wash to stick the second strip to the end of the first. Press to make sure it adheres and continue wrapping. Arrange horns on a baking pan. Beat one egg and add orange food color to the egg wash. Apply egg wash to the cones. Bake at 400F for 15-18 minutes. (for a deeper orange color, pull out at 10 minutes and apply another thin coat of orange egg wash). Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Prepare the filling. In a bowl add 1 box of Jello vanilla instant pudding mix and 2 1/4 cups of heavy cream. Beat with a hand mixer until thick and creamy. If it is too thick, add milk until desired thickness. Fold in 3/4 cups of chopped mini Cadbury eggs and transfer cream to a pastry bag. Gently twist and pull pastry horns out each cone and fill with pastry cream. For carrot tops melt green candy melts in the microwave at 30 second intervals until melted. Spoon or pipe on to parchment paper and allow to set.
