His dad was actually a time traveler from the future and purposely had that kid to save humanity, but the wrist band would kill whoever wore it and fixed the Time Machine so the father made sure he wasn’t the one to wear it so he gave it to his kid. Well when him and his best friend went to that time it summoned his dad via a hologram and his dad pretty much told him he was born to die and his father was the reason for the downfall of humanity so he felt the need to sacrifice his own son. And then what was even crazier was I made all that up
