My mom is Betty Crocker loyal. Shes had the same aluminum cake pan for 30 yrs. The cake used to mound over the cake pan. Now the center does even reach the top. Shrinkflation is real

When I was young the standard cake mix was 18oz. then 16.25 then 15.25 then 14.25. The last one I bought was Betty Crocker Super Moist Yellow at 13.25oz. We are still using the same egg, water and oil since the 18 oz.

Baked a betty crocker cake for hubbys birthday cause I thought it would be less work. Cake ended up deflated amd I had to bake another one from scratch. Thank god there was enough time.

So glad I came across this. I used the Betty Crocker yellow cake mix last week and my cake came out awful. I even told my husband I don’t know why this came out so bad.

I’ve seen complaints that cake mix crinkle cookies aren’t turning out well. I just saw a Betty Crocker 16oz Crinkle Cookie Mix. Those SOBs packaged the original size cake mix n called it cookie mix 😡

The original box cake didn’t need any ingredients added and didn’t sell so they changed it to add eggs etc so it felt more like baking and sold better in stores.

I NOTICED THE DIFFERENCE RIGHT AWAY LAST YEAR. My mom and I always use Betty Crocker, since I was a kid. My mom made a cake last year and I was like “this doesn’t taste like childhood………” infuriating.

The cake boxes at aldis have 15.25 oz cake boxes and they’re like $2 but they only have 2 or 3 flavors. Hope that helps!!
