Every photo you see from Lauren Ashley Studios is processed through Lightroom, a professional editing software, to ensure consistent quality and to bring my creative vision to life. When you hire a photographer, you’re not just getting someone to press a button. You’re hiring a storyteller with a vision to highlight the best of every scene. Editing isn’t about changing reality… it’s about refining it. Enhancements like balancing light, adjusting tones, and drawing focus to the most important elements bring the image to life the way we envisioned it during the shoot. There are four different stages of viewing an image, each offering a unique perspective: 1. In-camera: This is the jpg unaltered capture of the moment, reflecting what the camera sensor sees without any adjustments or enhancements. 2. RAW file: The digital negative, containing all the data captured by the camera. It’s unprocessed, flat, and requires editing to bring out its full potential. 3. Lightroom edit: This is where basic enhancements are made, such as adjusting exposure, color, and contrast to create a cohesive and stylized look across the gallery. 4. Photoshop retouch: The final step, where detailed adjustments are applied, like removing distractions, perfecting skin tones, or creatively altering elements to match the vision.
