Here in WA, we draw on the meterbox lid a diagram of where our electrical consumer mains runs from the dome to the MSB, pretty sure I’ve seen plumbers draw the same with their water mains too

We found our water main easy. It was a plastic pipe 10cm under the lawn which ran directly next to the fence line and accross the yard under the garden bed.

While he was attaching his device to that tap. Old school me would’ve started digging there, ( being first evidence of water to house.) and found what he found as quick, if not quicker! But I do love the tech, amazes me and would’ve made life so much easier on so many jobs. But not said one! 😂 😂
