When I visited Pompeji and saw them I immediately bursted into tears. I thought I could handle it but as soon as I saw the children the tears came. It was such a tragedy

What’s interesting is that they’ve done DNA testing on lots of the bones that were discovered to be in the Pompeii body molds, and the results tell a much different story than what people first assume
