Here’s everything I do to eliminate my cat allergies (my prince and princess are worth all of it). I used to have to take a Claritin every day and even then I was busting out my inhaler on occasional 😭 but once I started doing the below steps, I stopped needing both of those things Step 1. Pacegen dust allergy spray!! This is by far the thing that’s made the biggest difference. The way I understand it, the spray neutralizes pet allergens by binding to the allergen proteins, preventing them from becoming airborne and triggering allergic reactions. I spray directly on our furniture and bedding every few days. I linked the spray we use in my bio Step 2. Brush my cats with a wet brush once every couple of days. We have a brush that can be filled with water so it wets them as you brush. Mochi and cheddar love it now Step 3. Allergen-reducing dry shampoo for the cats. We sometimes add this in when we’re brushing them. It helps trap fur and dander instead of flinging it all over. Step 4. Vacuum…a lot — especially their favorite hangout spots and the couch. We should probably get a Roomba at this point. @irobot 👀? Step 5. Wash sheets and pillowcases weekly, sometimes more if they’ve been sleeping on my face 🙃 Step 6. Air purifier running 24/7 in the bedroom and living room. Step 7. We used to give them allergen-reducing food, but we felt like it wasn’t helping that much so we stopped doing that and did these other things and that helped waaay more Step 8. Claritin and nasal spray as needed — like during spring shed season or when I forgot to brush them or do the allergen reducing spray. I don’t need it at all when I’m diligent with all the other stuff. I’ve heard there’s nothing wrong with taking it daily, but Claritin gets expensive 😂 Step 9. Try to keep them out of the bedroom… we don’t do this but if we could it would definitely mitigate the allergies issue lmao It’s not perfect, but this routine keeps my allergies very manageable and the cats happy — 10/10 recommend if you’re allergic but in love 🐱follow for more tips like how to make your cat more cuddly and prevent them from getting bored of their toys! . . #catlover #carcare #catallergies
