Genuine question as an EV supporter. Would we be better off just exempting trucks from any EV initiatives until the battery tech evolves so the 1% of people that do truck things could have equal perf?

Toyota hybrids have been so frustrating for years now, they do the absolute bare minimum to gain “hybrid” status for registration while offering zero benefit, weighing a ton, and making no power.

the irony is that if Toyota has just committed to mastering the EV a decade ago they would be a world leader in a growing market. instead they're flogging the same dead hydrogen horse they've shackled themselves to for the last two decades.

How about an EV for people who live in apartments and don’t have a garage, and no place to plug them in. EV,s are perfect for Metropolitan areas, except for no place to plug them in.

agreed,mostly. if we have solar on our homes, I'm all for full ev. *good* hybrids seem like the better choice for alot of us tho. ev/hybrid in the build style of the old hilux's *tough* and *simple*🤙
