I have CMT-1a, I have had the symptoms of it since I was younger but I was diagnosed with it when I was 14. In order to help me with my pain I sometimes use lidocaine patches on the back of my calves-

CMT runs deep in my family! My grandfather, father, several aunts and an uncle all have it. I am one of 6 daughters - 2 have severe symptoms, 2 have moderate symptoms, and 2 don’t have any symptoms.
