📍LESHAN GIANT BUDDHA IN CHINA ✅Download: organic maps, google translate Chinese (traditional & simplified), trip.com 🔎 search for “Tourist Service Center Giant Buddha” in organic maps. I chose to match the map to trip.com and stayed walking distance from there. ✏️Tourist Service Center Giant Buddha: I do not speak any Chinese dialect and the ticket agent spoke no English. We both communicated effectively over translation apps on our phones. I bought the exploring hike ticket that you can do slowly, do not need to be very fit. You can take the boat ticket which just goes past the giant buddha carving on feet level (shown in the reel). They gave me a map in English and all the signs along the way had English along with traditional Chinese. ✏️costs: paid all cash since I couldn’t get WeChat. Foreigners can’t cause credit or debit cards to purchase anything there without WeChat. hike explore ticket: 80 Chinese yuan or RMB Boat ticket: 120-150 Chinese yuan or RMB ✏️Good to know: lots of vending machines, restaurants & toilets along the path. Cash accepted everywhere. Just make sure you go to an atm and withdraw enough ahead of time. I’d keep about 500 Chinese yuan with me for ticket (boat or hike), food, drinks, any souvenirs, just to be safe.
