@twoparentsandapod: When you hire a night nurse, who’s actually getting the benefits? 🤔 Should dads be getting sleep, or should they be on the night shift too?👇 #justalexpod #podcast #newparents #nightnurse
So removing hardship as a new family from the man is good…?

The comments read here like people didn’t have a night nurse. We had one and it was a game changer, dad slept through the night and then got up and took over the morning shift, made meals, looked afte

Totally disagree. Formula feeding mom with night nurse for both kids. We did live in option and these women helped us become parents. It’s way more than overnight.

Honestly- no NN. I got up with the baby at night to nurse. I didn’t need my husband up to do this. He slept in a different room and then got up with the baby and older kids in the morning.

Having a night doula a few nights a week was a HUGE help for me. I still breastfed my baby but I didn’t need to get up for diapers, burping, soothing, etc.

What was the reasoning behind the wanting one? Other than taking the load from dad?? Just curious on y’all’s take! — we personally did it ALL together, but also formula fed

We have a reflux baby that you have to hold up a long time after feeding. A night nurse is amazing

I had one and it was a lifesaver. I was triple feeding and having someone to manage that, who was awake and aware of what was going on with the baby, and KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING was huge.

Agreed- I let our night nurse go after 5 nights bc I was still up to feed every 3 hours. Only kept her bc I had c section & loved her bringing baby to me to feed. Husband benefited most lol

If you’re not sleep deprived you’re doing it wrong.

I hesitated & said no to a night nurse until like a month before for 4 nights. I breastfed/pumped & was still so helpful & nice. If you can, so so helpful.

My baby nurse is 24 hours and has been a life saver! Been helping with sleep training and everything. Wake up for a quick pump at night and then go back to sleep
