Increase the water bill to lower the electric bill. 😂

Not Electrician, but is cooling down the panel making a difference or is the water magnifying the sun

by government mandate all solar panels are not allowed to produce I believe it's over 20% efficiency it's all under that if they were allowed to be 100% efficient you could change the world

Save 10% on power bill by doubling your water bill. Seems like a worthwhile effort. 😂

it's magnifying the sun, not cooling that causes the increased output

What is the energy cost of cooling the panel? Is the increased efficiency more than the cost of cooling the panels?

if you're gonna do this, set up a closed loop system, recycle the water to continuously flow, refilling after a certain period of time due to evaporation.

could it be that the water refracts the light and thats doing it more than the cooling? have you tryied Non liquid cooling?

water isn't a good test because it could be argued that the light being focused by the droplets would have a bigger effect on the PV cells. a peltier cooler mounted on the back might be a better test.

To everyone who's saying it's the magnification... That's not how that works. If you wanted to do that, you'll need to get a lens bigger than the panel. Some water doesn't magically increase the

what people don't understand is that this is just an experiment to see if cooling the panels increases performance. to see if engineering internal cooling solutions is worth it.

I don't think the cooling increases the output. I think the water droplets act as a magnifying agent to intensify the light.

If cooling them increases its performance, why not just put them in the shade where they will be much cooler? 🤯

you're just magnifying the suns rays on each water droplet. cooling has nothing to do with it 😂🤣😂

if you live in an area with hard water that will ruin your panels with calcium buildup. that why we don't just spray our cars off with water. water spots
