My dad always told me if you stop seeing spray from other people’s tires that means there’s ice. Also kitty litter can help with traction if you get stuck!

Canadian and this is great advice. I also carry a collapsible dog bowl for water, flares/flashlight, reflective cone, spare mitts and socks in case mine get wet.
