drain fluids. and remove the engine with everything on it. so once it's out you can just transfer parts over. except for a/c compressor. just put it aside.

Look it up and listen to some exhaust videos on the 5.7s. Hands done on of the best sounding old trucks with true duel straight pipes and 5 inch tips you want be disappointed I promise.

take the engine out with as much on it still as possible then set the part and bolts together and take pictures as you take each part off to reference what order and where they go as you put the new engine together

Work down to the block and pull the block seperate it saves weight and makes life easy biggest thing is be cautious of old vacuum lines they can ruin your life😂
