My business is refurbishing historic buildings, l am a joiner and love the wonderful work, detail and architecture of a bygone era. Trades had the time to produce lovely work, not like today.

The capitalistic race to the bottom manifests everywhere. The companies doing the building have to out compete others, and usually thats by being all the things you highlight. Not by choice.
