Since filming this, I did try unkaku in a matcha latte just to see what it’s like, and can confirm it’s WAY better on its own. You really don’t get the full depth of flavour in a latte format

the old lady was magnificent 😝 I had their dessert and then came out to buy their autumn seasonal after because they serve sencha version as a palette cleanser and it was amazing; she was so happy.

Yes stop using the high end matchas for lattes! The takeout latte at that cafe is delicious btw. I went multiple mornings cause my hotel was so close by and the lady told me the matcha they use for it
