Appreciate your reply, I do not expect the cost to be cheaper just more reasonable. Example before I found my present stylist I was having to pay $130 for haircut, color, blowdry.

I had a friend that did my hair out of her house and I'd trade edibles or my bf would fix her car. I miss that arrangement, but I respect her choice to change careers

My daughter prefers salon appointments, but she'll come to me and do my hair because I'm her mom.

Rent had been raised twice by salon owner which was passed onto stylists. I found a stylist that was further away and her salon was not in a shopping center but with other small businesses.

SAAVY MOM THINGS :
My new stylist does a great job and I pay $80 now. Covid changed the cost of alot of things but I do feel stylists need to reevaluate their fees as you talked about.
