Oh, and there’s also the university Museum in Tokyo I forget which train station is close to I can tell you but it’s all old naturalist stuff they used to use us teaching materials and it’s free

When he first said train museum, I thought you were talking about the one in Nagoya! Now I’ll have to go to this one, but y’all should go to Nagoya as well!

Tale of Genji Museum in Uji is a short must-visit for anyone who loves the history/Heian era or literature. Our driver was surprised we even knew of it, said only 日本人 ever go. It was lovely there 🥹

The Sakai City Museum is a necessity for history nerds. The ancient tombs (kofun) surround the museum, which has interactive exhibits for all ages. Short, pleasant walk from a JR station, too.
