This can be when you’re writing, it can be a cover song. You kind of know the song, you bring up the lyrics on your iPhone, or if you’re writing it, you’re singing dummy lyrics, you don’t know the notes that you’re singing or the complete melody yet. You don’t know what notes or vowels are in the bridges. You kind of know the melody a little bit, and now you’re trying to sing it, and it doesn’t work well. That is a recipe for disaster and misjudging your talent. Do this instead. See results immediately. Learn the melody and vocalize the melody on a sound like ‘noo’ or the word ‘one’ or the sound that’s in ‘put’ wood’ or good. Put an ‘N’ before it. Know what notes you’re singing and work the vocal line with the vocalization so every syllable becomes that sound. Your voice will tell you exactly what it wants to do and what it needs. Once you master that, put the words on. Any words that are not in alignment, like the vocalization will stand out like a sore thumb. Those are the vowels you need to work on.
