Still have all of my physical media as well and watch it often. I have vhs tapes of the original star wars movies that I won't get rid of for exactly this reason.

in this specific case I think they edited down the movie version significantly to make it into tv length episodes. there are other scenes/dialog missing from other parts.

I don't think this has anything to do with censorship more about region-based advertisements limitations on runtime. Also different countries get different versions with different cuts.

the Disney+ version of everything is the worst version. The 90s X-Men series is completely out of order after season 2, same with the 90s spiderman. Can't trust them to get it right.
