Here’s what I do: 1️⃣ Salicylic acid / BHA * Has anti inflammatory properties to calm those pimples down * Gets into your pores to dissolve the gunk * Prevents new pimples from forming Product recs: Newdtral BHA-by Buffed Toner Anua BHA 2% Gentle Exfoliating Toner 2️⃣ Spot treat I’ve tried a few and these are the ones that work for me. Just choose one to try. ▶️ Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) If you had acne as a teen, you’re probably familiar with this. BPO kills acne causing bacteria and helps skin cell turnover. But beware that BPO can be drying and bleaches fabric. Aim for a 2-5% spot treatment ▶️ beplain C Cicaterol Spot Treatment This is super effective for those painful pimples. There’s something about the centella/cica 🌿 and the formula that helps to cool the area down and reduce the inflammation 🧊 ▶️ TIAM AC Fighting Spot RX Cream Zinc + niacinamide spot treatment. This is similar to the beplain. Really good for those painful, red pimples. However I feel that that beplain is better because it has an instant cooling sensation. ▶️ La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ M Gel cream texture spot treatment. Helps to heal pimples and reduce clog pores. It uses microbiome science 🧪 , ceramide, niacinamide and zinc pca to do this. It even helps to lighten dark spots. But beware this is fragranced 💐 *️⃣ Can you use more than one? I would caution against mixing them if you never use it individually before. If it’s a juicy one… 3️⃣ Pimple patch Pimple patches help to suck out the gunk in pimples and protect it from bacteria and itchy fingers. I like those with beveled edges because it’s more invisible and adheres better. These are from @Lazy Shark Skincare . It’s super thin but still stays put. It even contains salicylic acid and vitamin c! ⚡️ 🙋🏻‍♀️ what’s your go to product when pimples flare up?
