what's crazy is that they throw those books away because they're either outdated old or their band and another big thing is that a lot of those books are on iPad tablets but I like physical copies

Weeding it’s the librarian process of removing unread/destroyed books to make room for new books more people would read. Typically libraries may have 1 book sale a year leftovers are recycled.

Why throw away, why not have a side walk sale where the books are super cheap or even free and attract people into your store to buy full price items?

back in the early 2000s i very briefly worked at a goodwill who's dumpster looked just like this. made me sick when they wanted me to throw away boxes and boxes of books one day.

I used to send boxes of books to the Philippines and donate them to schools without libraries.

I like going to the little free libraries & trading a book for one lol like one I’ve finished I’ll go & trade it out for a new book & just keep it going.

wow, the libraries around here have trolleys they set out and you can take them as you walk by. Throwing them out is such a sad thing. thank you for saving them 🙏 All my books as a kid were free
