My son is 4 months and has been on Kendamil since birth. We choose not to boil the water. He gets room temp bottles with purified water.

NICU nurse here! No powdered formula is sterile, even brands made in the US. It used to be the recommendation for all powdered formula to be mixed with boiled water to kill any bacteria

As someone from the U.K. it is wild that the majority of the comments say people don’t use boiled water. All formulas here require boiled water!

We don’t boil the water! We use distilled baby water, so it’s not necessary

can you premake it, like pitcher method, and then prep the bottle that way?

I make 24 hours of bottles at a time. Keep them on the counter to cool, then throw them in the fridge. Keep in a small cooler out of the house, warm up in my portable bottle warmer.

I premake my formula with the boiled water to kill the bacteria, then refrigerate the bottles. It can be used for 24 hours once it's mixed. then we heat each bottle when it's feed time.

Electric kettle. We have one that you can set to specific temp. We boil distilled water enough for the day, then set to 158 degrees and make all our bottles for the day. A good kettle boils in seconds

I batch made it in a glass pitcher. On the go I would pack premade bottle. Kendamil says to make bottles individually, but I think that’s a European thing. US guidelines say it’s ok for 24 hrs.

What if you just use a bottle warmer which essentially boils it for you. That’s what I do with Kendamil
