4 WAYS TO WRITE w/ A BUSY SCHEDULE: We all struggle to find the time for writing, so here are 4 ways to create a plan so that you won't fail to have the time you need to bring that book to life! #1✍️ SCHEDULE IT. Make a date on your calendar for the time that you will be writing. It might be one evening a week after work (this is how I did it when I worked my 9-5), maybe it's a day you get up early to write before work. Whenever it is, by scheduling it, putting it in your calendar and then refusing to make plans for ANYTHING ELSE during that time, you are prioritizing a space for you to write. #2✍️ ANALYZE YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE: If you don't know when to schedule your writing time, take a week or two and purposely look for wasted or down time that you might not know is there. 4 WAYS TO WRITE w/ A BUSY SCHEDULE: We all struggle to find the time for writing, so here are 4 ways to create a plan so that you won't fail to have the time you need to bring that book to life! #1✍️ SCHEDULE IT. I call it "looking for a pocket". Maybe you doom scroll on your phone during lunch, sit down for long periods of time after work, have a 15 minute break that you don't use or fill with something else. Look for those pockets of time where you aren't working or actively resting and start using those times to write! #3✍️ SET A SMALL DAILY GOAL: if writing for large chunks of time isn't feasible, create a small daily goal that would be wildly achievable. I wrote both of my first two books with a 15 min a day routine. I wrote for 15 min before bed every single night (to the best of my ability) Pick a time of day or a task you can habit stack your writing with, and pick whatever your small, achievable goal is. Most anyone can find 10-15 minutes a day. #4✍️ DON'T LOSE YOUR JOY: Don't burn yourself out on something you aren't loving. Make sure you stay vibrant and passionate about your project, even if that means taking time to work on something more life-giving in the moment. Progress isn't always linear. Did you find these tips helpful? How do you fit your writing into your daily life?
