@develobaby: There’s so much value in practicing body transitions, and it only takes a tiny habit change! For example, if you place your crawling baby on their back or in the sitting position instead of directly in the crawling position, they’ll naturally get plenty of “time-free” motor practice for those important rotational muscles that contribute to a strong and flexible body. Before your baby starts crawling, it’s also a good idea to place them on their back when you want them on their tummy. If your baby can’t roll yet, gently guide them (as little as possible) through the roll. Once they can roll independently, keep an eye on whether they’re rolling equally over both shoulders. If there’s a side preference, you can help them practice the harder direction until they even out. Simple, right?
