@nedwagner: Your abs are just like every other muscle…. ⤵️ 🔥PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD🔥 A huge mistake I see when it comes to training core? 1. People squeeze it in at the end of the workout 2. People don’t increase the weight/intensity over time Your abs, are just like every other muscle. They need progressive overloading to force growth. This can mean a lot of different things, but it includes more reps, more weight, slower tempo, supersets, drop sets, and more resistance. These are some of my favorite core exercises I do: 1️⃣ Landmine Twists Grab a bar. Load with 25 lb plate (more/less). Keep your core tight, knees bent, and swing the bar side to side. 2️⃣ GHD Sit Ups A newer addition to my routine, this type of sit up is a more advanced version of a medicine ball sit up. Why is it effective? Because you can’t cheat. Your abs and hip flexors are in full extension on every rep. 3️⃣ Banded Front Folds Don’t let the thin band fool you, these are much harder than they look. They’ll also test your hamstring mobility. 4️⃣ Weighted Knee Raises Grab a dumbbell or medicine ball. Put the weight between your feet. Lift your knees to your chest. Lower back down. 5️⃣ Toes to Bar (superset) These ones are tough. So, don’t start here. But if you can get your toes to bar, for 10-15 reps. With controlled technique, your core strength is improving. 6️⃣ Banded Reverse Squats Probably my favorite of all the exercises. These target your lower abs and give you the V look everyone wants. This band can be found on Amazon for like 5 bucks. I like to train core 4 days per week. You can train them every day if you want too. 🤝 If you want to copy how I eat with a FREE meal guide, comment ‘FUEL’ and I’ll send it right over. — #sixpack #Fitness #abs #gym #workout #bodybuilding #muscle #fitnessmotivation #fitnessmodel #fit #motivation #gymmotivation #shredded #bodybuilder #GymLife #muscles #fitfam #ripped #training #instagood #aesthetic #sixpackabs
