there should be a way to recoup our costs from those of us who’ve had to go private. Autism dx at 37. ADHD at 38. POTS and EDS likely in my 40’s

I'm so mad at my doctors. 20yrs they wasted. just got privately diagnosed with ASD and ADHD at 38. never even mentioned by GP 😏

Exactly me !! Since a child had social anxiety and at the age of 16 diagnosed as Agoraphobic. Diagnosed ADHD at 44 and now 48!!!

I stopped masking after a suffering a mental health crisis. People started to tell me I have ADHD & I realised my son & daughter have it too. I’m getting diagnosed & now work with children with it.

My therapist suspects I have ADHD and said I should talk to my GP, he laughed and said how can I have ADHD when I go bed at 8pm 😅

Yes gender doesn’t get taken into account! Unless your adhd show up like it would in a boy! My son has it but they refuse my daughter cause she masks!

I was diagnosed at the age of 40 after researching it for my 5 year old son, not once did any professional say that's what it could be. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression at 20!

Even your partner? I went after a diagnosis after my 9 year old son got one and there was too much overlap for myself. He NEVER questioned it. Your partner should be just that!
