@welovethe1990s: Phoebe Cates is still my top crush from the 80s and 90s, but I still don't understand how this movie got made. Drop Dead Fred is about a girl who has an imaginary friend as a kid, Fred, and eventually gets rid of him, but he comes back after she moves back in with her mother after a failed relationship... or something like that. I don't really know what was going on in this movie, I just remember as a kid loving the fact that a kids movie used the word bitch so many times in one scene. The 80's and 90's got away with a lot of jokes in kids movies that probably wouldn't fly today, but as an adult watching these old movies you pick up on the things you missed when you were younger. Looking up the mom's skirt and commenting on the cobwebs... classic. Flicking boogers into the coffee, great kid humor right there. I don't know what Rik Mayall (the guy who played Fred) is up to these days, but he'll always live in the back of my mind because of how many times I watched this movie as a kid.
