The situation is different in China, where the premium brand YangWang is bringing to market innovations capable of competing with renowned European competitors. The perfect example is the YangWang U8, an electric SUV with nearly 1,200 horsepower, sold for 1,089,000 yuan (150,000 dollars). Besides its record power, the U8 can turn 360 degrees on itself, travel up to 120 km/h with a flat tire, and float on water for 30 minutes thanks to its IP68-certified waterproof motors. 🌊 While there is no official information on a possible arrival of the YangWang U8 in Europe, its engines and dimensions are already known. Equipped with Erev technology, the four electric motors deliver a combined power of 880 kW, equivalent to 1,197 horsepower, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. The dimensions are impressive, with a length of 530 cm, a width of 205 cm, a height of 195 cm, and a wheelbase of 305 cm. Inside, the cabin can accommodate 5 to 7 people, and the dashboard features a 12.8” curved screen and a 23.6-inch monitor in front of the driver. 🚙💬 The Yangwang U8 is redefining the concept of an SUV.
