@clairahermet: DATE NUMBER 5… Let me be really honest. I’m in a really weird place at the moment! Not because of the guy at all just in general. I know that it’s having a knock on effect on how I show up. It’s hard to start dating someone while having to work through stuff of your own but I’m here and we’re doing this. Above all else you should all know by now I am very committed to myself, my healing, my relationship with me and building a life I am proud of for myself. I understand that I will always be a work in progress and that’s perfect! We should all always be learning about ourselves and growing. That’s the beauty of life. I met this guy IRL and it was totally unexpected. Timing is everything they say so I’m just trusting this process and really making sure I take care of myself and my needs at this time! I honestly think I have a kind of death at this time of year every year and then I find my feet and something new is born so I’m trying to lean into it. We can always predict when we’ll meet someone and honestly have no idea if he is here for a reason, season or a lifetime (a mixture or none) but I am just going to take it as it comes and enjoy it. You don’t have to be ‘healed’ to date or attract the love you want and deserve but I think we should all know our worth and value and know that we do deserve the love we want before we date. This helps us navigate and say no to what is not good for us.
