My nan used to use an old cotton reel with four nails hammered into it. Good, old fashioned french knitting.

My mum found my finger knitter recently! Looks a bit like a babushka doll with no head, would be almost 30 yrs old. We used toilet rolls and icypole sticks (before I had a proper one).
