it is what's known as chemical moonshine; distilled denatured alcohol. sometimes a batch can contain uneven amounts of methanol, luck decides which bottle has the lethal dose

Why can’t the local law enforcement just go to the hostel & confiscate all the alcohol & test it fur methanol.? Oh yeah it’s not that kinda country.. 😏

If you're a parent don't send your kids to Laos besides this it's also very easy to get all kinds of drugs there it's so easy that it's on the Menu on hostels and bars

It’s not just in Laos. I got methanol poisoning from FINNS in Bali. Lost consciousness after 2 drinks, I was throwing up everywhere then came unresponsive with little to no heartrate!

I’m so confused. The hostel owner said NO other guests got sick. Other than the Australians, the other guests didn’t stay the hostel (according to other media). What actually is the real story???
